Ptek Holdings, Inc. Announces The Repurchase And Redemption Of A Portion Of Its 5 3/4% Convertible Notes Due 2004

ATLANTA, GA, August 18, 2003 - Ptek Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: PTEK) announced today that the Company has elected to redeem on September 8, 2003, approximately $36.0 million principal amount of its existing convertible notes due 2004. During the second and third quarters of 2003, the Company has repurchased approximately $84.0 million aggregate principal amount of its 2004 notes. Upon the completion of the pending redemption, the principal balance of the convertible notes due 2004 will be $52.5 million. The Company used net proceeds from the completion of its placement of $85.0 million of 5.0% convertible subordinated notes due 2008 to fund the third quarter repurchases of its 2004 notes and will also use these proceeds to fund the pending redemption.
