Company Raises 2011 Financial Outlook
Oct 20, 2011
ATLANTA, October 18th, 2011 - The meetings experts at PGi (NYSE: PGI) today announced a new mobility suite for its secure video conferencing solution for business, iMeet. iMeet mobile apps are now available for download from the App Store:
- iMeet HD for the iPad® takes advantage of the iPad’s large screen to create an immersive, feature rich video meeting experience. Built using HTML5, iMeet HD also works on other top selling tablets – directly in the device browser, without installing an application.
- iMeet Mobile for the iPhone® is a native iOS app, with an optimized user interface that highlights the features most important to iMeet hosts and guests using an iPhone or iPod Touch®.
“The office doesn’t have four walls anymore — it’s wherever your technology and tools enable you to engage with colleagues, customers and prospects. With this shift in work styles, smartphones, cloud tools and mobility apps are must-haves to stay connected and productive,” said Boland Jones, PGi founder, chairman and CEO, who is leading PGi’s next-generation product innovation. “Our new iMeet mobility suite lets people meet, collaborate and stay productive regardless of their location or device.”
Whether connecting remotely or at the desktop, iMeet customers are enjoying the benefits of its simple, social and enjoyable group video meetings. Bill Malloy, President, Executive Sales Network, Inc. and iMeet customer said, “Prior to using iMeet, we spent lots of our time driving or traveling to meet with candidates who, at the end of the day, were not a good fit for our clients. With iMeet, we are able to find, interview and qualify more candidates in 50% less time, which has translated into a 20% spike in our revenues. Our clients and candidates are very happy, and iMeet makes that possible.”
In addition to the new iMeet mobility suite, PGi recently launched a number of enhancements and upgrades to iMeet — many resulting from user feedback through the “I Have an Idea Button” in every iMeet video meeting room. These upgrades include:
- Enhanced softphone with echo-cancellation: Integration with Adobe® Flash® Player 10.3 provides a clear, real-time audio experience when talking through the computer.
- International land line dial-out: iMeet can now dial-out to guests anywhere in the world.
- Improved “add a guest” feature: iMeet now remembers your frequent meeting guests and lets you easily send them an email invite or dial-out to connect them to a meeting.
