Ptek's Xpedite Unit Announces General Availability of Its VoIP-Delivered fax2mail Document Management Solution
Beta Test Generates Three Fortune 500 Commitments; www.fax2mail.com

ATLANTA, GA, January 15, 2004 - Ptek Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: PTEK), a leading provider of innovative business communications services, and its Xpedite business unit (www.xpedite.com ) today announced general availability of fax2mail (www.fax2mail.com), a proprietary document management solution that allows customers to send and receive fax messages using any e-mail system with no additional software required. Building on its existing technology, Xpedite's research and development group designed this innovative service to be delivered via a state-of-the-art VoIP network. The Company has integrated its fax2mail platform with major facilities-based communications services providers to provision local numbers in major markets throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Fax2mail enables businesses of all sizes to reduce costs by decreasing the need for dedicated phone lines and enhances document management productivity through greatly improved accessibility for active business travelers. Subscribers can access, forward and archive fax messages, just like e-mail, from anywhere in the world. Additionally, the solution allows users to maintain an audit trail of inbound and outbound deliveries.

Ptek introduced the fax2mail solution to certain strategic accounts during the fourth quarter of 2003 and has already received commitments from three Fortune 500 companies. These initial orders are for several thousand monthly subscribers, with the potential to grow to tens of thousands of unique users upon full implementation.

The Company is now promoting this solution through its North American direct sales force and plans to include its entire global sales force by the end of the first quarter, enabling it to target all of its 28,000 existing global enterprise customers. In addition, Ptek plans to market fax2mail via indirect channels, such as agents and resellers, and to aggressively pursue strategic partnerships, as well as to utilize direct marketing programs to reach millions of small businesses.

"We are pleased with our initial introduction in the market and look for fax2mail to gain additional traction throughout the year," said Lee Provow, President of Xpedite. "The business case for this service is very compelling and we are excited to make it available to our many global enterprise customers."

"Fax2mail is another example of our commitment to innovate valuable services that address the needs of our customers," added Boland T. Jones, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Ptek Holdings, Inc. "We look for this solution and other new services to continue to enhance our leadership position."
